Listed below are funding resources available through the Division of Local Government.
- Innovative Affordable Housing Strategies
The Colorado Department of Local Affairs with funding from House Bill 21-1271 offers grant money and other forms of state assistance to local governments to promote innovative solutions to the development of affordable housing across the state. - Main Street: Open for Business
The Colorado Department of Local Affairs with funding from Senate Bill 21-252 supports efforts by local governments and regional collaborations to engage in small business relief through “Main Street: Open for Business.” This Initiative supports façade improvements and energy efficiency projects for businesses in the state’s traditional downtowns. - Renewable and Clean Energy Initiative
Funding is available through House Bill 21-1253 to local government proposed projects to support the development and construction of renewable and clean energy infrastructure in all areas of the state especially in communities in which renewable and clean energy infrastructure is sparse and with consideration to geographical diversity in these awards.
Funding through Other State Agencies
- Colorado Community Revitalization Grant
This program provides gap funding for projects in creative districts, historic districts, main streets or neighborhood commercial centers. This grant will support creative projects that combine creative industry workforce housing, commercial spaces, performance space, community gathering spaces, child care centers, and retail partnerships for the purpose of economic recovery and diversification by supporting creative sector entrepreneurs, artisans, and community non-profit organizations. - Economic Recovery Programs and Funding Opportunities for Businesses
The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) partnered with state legislators to pass 12 bills that will infuse $228 million into Colorado’s economic recovery efforts. This money will create new programs and bolster existing ones to increase access to capital for small businesses and communities across Colorado.
