The Community Development Office at the Department of Local Affairs' (DOLA) Division of Local Government just launched an additional interactive tool to help Colorado local governments understand and implement recent state land use and housing legislation, fulfilling a critical need expressed by several different interest groups.
Adding to the suite of legislation implementation tools and guidance released over the course of the past year, the Multilaw Applicability Web App provides a user-friendly, visual representation of which of the recent state laws, or components of the laws, apply to specific local communities across the state. There is also a spreadsheet version available.
Features That Empower Users
This tool enables users to select their jurisdiction from a dropdown menu, search for a specific address, and filter by individual laws to see statewide applicability. The interactive map allows planners, local officials, and community members to easily understand which laws—or specific components of laws—apply to their jurisdictions.
This tool enables user to:
- Select their jurisdiction from a dropdown menu
- Search for a specific address
- Filter by individual laws to see statewide applicability
The Applicability Web App and many other tools and resources to support local governments are available on the State Land Use and Housing Legislation website. The Community Development Office invites all parties involved in local planning, development, and housing policy to explore this valuable new resource!
