Inventory of Existing Partnerships

What is already available?

An important first step for Main Street and community leaders seeking to create or expand Main Street partnerships is to assess the broad range of resources that are currently available within or connected to their Main Street. Some of these programs and services may be directly managed by the Main Street program; others may be managed by community organizations and agencies. This checklist helps you to take inventory of the programs and services already administered by Main Street and its partners. Once you know what programs and services exist, your challenge is to make sure these programs and services are coordinated strategically to achieve desired results and to identify new programs and services that may be needed.

Look over each program and service and make note what is already in place in the following 4 categories - Local Main Street, Community Organization, Public Agency, and Other.
