This walkthrough will show creating an account in the Formulaic Programs portal, but can be followed to create an account in the Grants Portal.
To begin, access the portal and agree to the terms of use and continue.
Important Note: You may already have a DLG portal account. Please confirm before creating a new account!
Your same user ID and password are used for logging in to both the DLG Formulaic Programs Portal (for VFP, CTF and Direct Distribution) and the DLG Grants Portal (for CVRF, EIAF CSBG and others). If you do not recall your user ID or password, from the login screen select the Forgot your user ID? or Forgot your password? links to access and/or reset.
Step 1. Create your account
If you do not have a current, active account/user ID for the Formulaic/Grants portals:
- Select Don't have an account?
- Complete the required contact information fields and click “create account” to submit.
Step 2. Request access to your local government
This is a one-time action to gain access to your local government’s VFP application history and have the ability to complete and submit new applications.
- Log in to the portal. If you do not recall your user ID or password, select the Forgot your user ID? or Forgot your password? links to access and/or reset. After you log in, select Request Access to Organizations.
- Begin typing your local government name in the Select an Organization query field and select your local government from the list*. Note that you will get better results by not entering “town of” or “city of”, etc.
- Select your VFP role and program. One VFP Responsible Administrator is required per local government (limited to one) and there are unlimited Report Only user roles available. Next, enter a brief comment regarding your VFP role and click “Submit Request”. If you manage VFP for several different local governments, repeat this process until you have requested access to all.
You will receive an email notification when your association request is approved. Approval may take up to three days.
